This past year, not just thinking about COVID and the ripple effects of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, has touched my life and loved ones on a very real scale. I love hip-hop, I love EDM, I love House music, I love dancehall (when done in a cool flavor), and I love Afrobeats. However, this song was the first song I learned to love as a Christian because it was the song that I enjoyed with my late father on our solo drives in the night in Accra. So the tears have dried, the smiles have started getting wider....because we are still alive. Mary Mary taught me to dance on my problems, not just because of God but because why worry when you still have breath? This song is also poignant for me to release today because of what is happening in the USA. The conservative arm of the government is coming for the rights and freedoms of everybody, especially minorities. Whilst here in Ghana we have a blatantly corrupt government that keeps on failing us. So I think its safe to say that there is so much wrong going on that, I'm just going to take this moment to share this moment of 16 minutes to share how I'm dancing on my problems. Shout out to the Fivio Foreign lyric in Through The Fire which says the exact same thing. God bless.
